The County of Orange operates one of the nation’s premier solid waste disposal systems, providing this essential public service to residents and businesses in 34 cities and unincorporated areas. Our three active landfills are among the largest statewide, receiving more than four million tons of solid waste annually.

With a commitment to efficient operation, renewable energy enterprises and eco-friendly practices, Orange County’s award-winning landfills reflect excellence in environmental engineering and in our good neighbor philosophy, ensuring a safe and healthy community for current and future generations.

Hours of Operation:

All County of Orange landfills are open Monday through Saturday with varied schedules. Please check the sites above for specific daily hours.

Holiday Scheduled Closures:

The landfills are closed on the following major holidays:

  • New Year’s Day (Jan 1)
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas (Dec. 25)
