Got chemicals at home? Dispose of them properly - Douglas County

Douglas County Waste Disposal

The Douglas County Solid Waste Management Plan was prepared pursuant to Nevada Administrative Code 444.658. NAC 444.658 requires each municipality to submit a plan for approval to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). Every plan must be reviewed and updated as necessary, but not less often than once every 5 years. This is the 5-year update to the 2008 plan.

Household Hazardous Waste

Douglas Disposal and Recycling operates a household hazardous waste program at the new transfer station. Residents schedule appointments to drop off household hazardous waste to the transfer station at no charge. DDI contracts with a licensed Household Hazardous Waste hauler to pick the waste up and dispose of it at a permitted facility.
